Awt « Winter and Spring »

Awt was a musical project by Anders Walldén from Malmö in Sweden that mixed modern electronica like jungle, dubstep and IDM with a quieter note.

Winter and Spring was originally released in early 2004 but was lost when its host died. Subsequently Anders went back to the studio and remastered the album which then was release on the Experimedia label.
cover

Winter and Spring (the c. re-m,r) was reissued on 29th of April in 2005. While the Experimedia does not indicate any free or open license, Awt’s SoundClick pages gives a Creative Commons license for the tracks. It’s music can be categorized as IDM, somewhere between an atmospheric drum & bass and glitchy and broken beats.

Tyson Brinacombe « EP »

In my attempt to try to open up my offer I found an EP by Ontarian musician Tyson Brinacombe who plays here a surf and psychedelic rock inspired acoustic pop with some modern touches. Usually not my cup of tea, the surf elements and its unpretentious ease makes it fun and apropriate for inclusion.
I especially liked Forget the World and Quick Fix, The Golden Age of Ballooning uses effectively some synths, while Monsters is unmemorable and the weakest track in my ears.
cover
EP is the very umimaginative title of this… well, EP. It was released by Rack & Ruin Records, a netlabel active between April 2008 and February 2011.

Кисаньки Мокренькая Писяющие Лижуть « Пидрахуй: Пестни о звоне в ушах »

Political internet memes lend themselves very easily to musical interpretation, usually by artists of industrial or abstract music. A perfect example is the meme Путин, підрахуй which is actually Ukrainian yet widely known in Russia. In the political context it means "Putin, count the days of freedom" (more or less). Russian music band Кисаньки Мокренькая Писяющие Лижуть has released an EP of abstract and noise music.
cover
Пидрахуй: Пестни о звоне в ушах - which means more or less "Count (the Days): Songs about Buzzing in the Ears - was released by the "Multimedia Dept." of the TrOLO-OLO-LOL-lo TeAm.
